洋書・児童書です。アメリカの小学３年生のマーヴィンは、担任の先生にバイトの話を持ちかけられます。先生が数日間留守にする間、ペットの犬の世話をしてほしいという内容で、ちゃんとできればボーナスも出るという事でした。マーヴィンは引き受け、犬の世話を真面目にやりましたが‥‥
